Design Story – You say Madras and your mind drives itself to ‘those days’. Did we say drive? How can that mental image of Madras be complete without namma favourite Amby? A car that held many people together, a car that veered easily despite its bulk, a car that was sturdy and made the driver feel like she or he had really earned their license to drive? One of the most classic examples of a feeling that is Madras. An emotion-driven design, which our designer Swamynathan captured swiftly, as only one who has known and loved Madras can.
